Are you in?Your roleKey responsibilities in your new roleExecute Functional Safety (ISO 26262) analyses at low-level embedded software level to identify and confirm safety-related parts and to verify the effectiveness of implemented safety measures Execute Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) analyses at low-level embedded software level, including contributions to TARA, HAZOP, weakness analysis, vulnerability analysis, and CWE analysis Define, maintain, and refine Cybersecurity and Safety Assumptions of Use and security/safety objectives documentation for low-level embedded software components Contribute across the embedded software lifecycle (requirements analysis, software architecture, design, implementation, and verification) with a generalist engineering approach Ensure development processes and evidence are aligned with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) and relevant automotive standardsYour profileQualifications and skills to help you succeed As a Staff Engineer Software Functional Safety Cybersecurity with hands-on experience in Functional Safety and Cybersecurity for automotive products you will join our growing team in Langen and work on ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 compliance at software level, combined with active contribution to embedded software development and verification.

Lastly, you will develop low-level driver software for microcontroller-based automotive products shipped to customers worldwide.A degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field of studies3–5 years of professional experience in embedded software development and verification, with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycleHands-on experience with ISO 26262 at software level, incl.

ASIL requirement handling, software partitioning, memory/peripheral protection configuration, and freedom from interference conceptsHands-on experience with ISO 21434 at software level, incl. involvement in TARA, HAZOP/weakness analysis, CWE/vulnerability analysis, and implementation experience (e.g., protection unit configuration, secure IPC, cryptography-based mechanisms)Experience in defining and maintaining Assumptions of Use (AoU) and cybersecurity/safety objectives documentationProficiency in embedded C and familiarity with compilers, debuggers, and simulation tools; good knowledge of ARM / RISC-V architectures and ASPICE processesStrong analytical mindset and self-organization; experience applying AI in engineering workflows is a plusFluent English communication skills#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.As a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
