The work includes monitoring and investigating network-security events, responding to incidents, reviewing security controls, documenting risks, and coordinating remediation across technical teams.

The analyst will collaborate with security operations, networking, infrastructure, architecture, cloud, identity, endpoint, application, and business teams.

Critical experience requirements include: • Ability to work full-time and 100% onsite in Regina from the contract start date • Enterprise security operations experience in complex, distributed, or hybrid environments • Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, proxies, secure web gateways, DNS security, load balancers, and network access controls • Experience monitoring security events and analyzing traffic, logs, packet captures, and alerts • Experience identifying compromise indicators, suspicious communications, unauthorized access, data exfiltration, and configuration weaknesses • Experience reviewing firewall rules, ACLs, network flows, routing paths, and security policies • Incident investigation, containment, root‑cause analysis, and remediation experience • Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wireless security, and common protocols • Experience documenting risks, incidents, technical recommendations, procedures, and remediation actions • Ability to work effectively across technical teams and communicate findings clearly Nice to have: • Government of Saskatchewan or comparable public-sector or large-enterprise experience • ServiceNow security incident and service-request experience • Experience with Privileged Access Management, phishing simulations, security‑awareness campaigns, and operational reporting • Familiarity with Zero Trust, segmentation, least privilege, secure remote access, and identity‑aware controls • Experience reviewing network changes for security impact and validating implementation • Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27002, and secure‑configuration baselines • Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related education • CISSP, CISM, CCNP/CCIE Security, Fortinet NSE, PCNSE, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, Security+, or comparable certifications Compensation: Competitive hourly contract rate based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and overall fit.

Experienced Security Analyst contract role supporting enterprise cybersecurity operations for the Government of Saskatchewan, including network-security monitoring, incident response, firewall and access-control reviews, traffic analysis, security reporting, and stakeholder coordination. • Full-time, 100% onsite role in Regina, Saskatchewan • Initial two-year contract, with a possible extension of up to one additional year What & Why: Our client, the Government of Saskatchewan, is seeking experienced Security Analysts to join the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch within the Information Technology Division.

The successful candidate will support daily cybersecurity operations and help protect government systems, applications, information, and citizen services.

Who: The Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch is responsible for security policies and standards, incident response, security awareness, Threat Risk Assessments, cybersecurity guidance, procurement security oversight, and evaluation of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

You: You are an experienced cybersecurity or network-security professional with strong troubleshooting, analytical, incident-response, and communication skills.

You can investigate security events, analyze network traffic and alerts, review firewalls and access controls, document findings, and explain technical risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
