Remote Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

This critical role will be responsible for monitoring security alerts, investigating potential breaches, developing incident response strategies, and implementing proactive security measures. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR, for suspicious activities and potential security incidents.
• Conduct in-depth investigations of security alerts and anomalies, determining the scope and impact of potential breaches.
• Develop and execute comprehensive incident response plans to effectively mitigate security threats.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Analyze threat intelligence and stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and attack vectors.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance organizational security posture.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement security controls and ensure compliance.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on cybersecurity matters to internal teams and clients.
• Create detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a focus on threat detection, incident response, and analysis.
• Proven experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight).
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common attack vectors.
• Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and penetration testing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time in a remote work environment.
