Microsoft 365 & IT Security Engineer · Germany

Rostock (preference) or Hamburg | On-site initially - Hybrid working after onboarding

I'm currently recruiting for a growing healthcare technology group looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 & IT Security Engineer to join their team. Following several recent acquisitions, the business is looking for someone to strengthen group-wide IT security, support new integrations and work closely with the Head of Group IT & Cybersecurity.

What will you be doing?

• Managing Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Intune.
• Strengthening identity and access security through Conditional Access, MFA and Zero Trust.
• Taking ownership of security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management and security policies.
• Supporting hybrid infrastructure, including Active Directory, Hyper-V and VMware.
• Managing Microsoft 365 migrations and onboarding newly acquired businesses.

What are they looking for?

• Several years of hands-on Microsoft 365 experience.
• Strong IT security experience, including monitoring, incident response and security hardening.
• Knowledge of hybrid environments and Microsoft 365 migrations is beneficial.
• An IT-related qualification or apprenticeship.
• Native German and good written and spoken English are essential.
• Someone confident working independently and operating at a senior technical level.
• Rostock or Hamburg, Germany.
• On-site during onboarding, then hybrid working with at least three days per week in the office.
• Permanent contract, 30 days' annual leave, flexible hours and employer-supported pension.
• Direct collaboration with senior IT leadership and the opportunity to shape security across a growing international group.
