Cybersecurity Specialist (m/f/d) In this role, you will be responsible for technical security concepts, play a key role in architectural decisions, and support both day-to-day operations and the expansion of our security measures.

Merzig, Maxdorf Full-time Starting immediately Permanent position Attractive compensation Opportunity for remote work What to Expect – Your Role with Impact: You will analyze and assess the IT security landscape, conduct risk analyses, further develop security situational awareness, and derive appropriate measures to minimize risk.

You will investigate and handle security incidents, implement effective countermeasures, and optimize detection mechanisms (e.g., SIEM use cases). You will further develop IT security processes, policies, and standards; review current requirements and best practices; and support secure software development.

You will work closely with our Information Security Officer as well as internal and external stakeholders, prepare decision-making documents for management and business units, and conduct training and awareness campaigns. You will assist with audits and internal IT projects.

What you bring to the table—both professionally and personally: You have the appropriate qualifications (a degree in computer science, IT security, or comparable training) and already have experience in the field of cybersecurity.

You have experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC), and common security technologies (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, or IDS/IPS). You have practical experience with IT security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or BSI Basic Protection.

You work analytically and in a structured manner, and you stand out for your solution-oriented approach. You communicate confidently and clearly, even on complex topics, and have very good German and good English skills.
